Welcome!

I would like you to meet my Marirose,
my friend, my partner, my wife of sixty-six years, who has now passed on and is with the Lord. I want you to know
the person she was and about our lasting love affair. We met in high school in our late teens and have never looked
back. I thank God for the privilege and honor of being her husband and for the strength to care for her for so
many years as she had asked. She was the mother of six great children. I am truly blessed.
Marirose was a loving, talented creation of God. Her many talents included singing
in the church choir, teaching cake and cookie house decorating, playing the organ, oil painting, a "fearsome"
bridge player, teaching exercise classes, water aerobics, church youth activities, Brownies, Girl Scouts, and was
a Cub Scout and Boy Scout mother.
Many fond memories of our lives are expressed in my poems inspired by Marirose.
I will treasure them forever. She was an Angel in training. Marirose died from Alzheimer's disease on September
15, 2008. Our parting was hard to bear but God has promised we'll be together again. This is real inspiration.
She is missed tremendously.
I'm glad you came and hope you enjoy your time spent with us. If so, please share our site with friends and loved
ones. To do this, use the Blue Button on the Home Page, "Send this to a Friend".
Thanks,
Hiram Gensler
