This page will help you, my visitor; get to know a little about me and how I came to writing poetry.
I have been blessed late in life with the talent of expressing my thoughts and feelings by putting words on paper.
I was born in Kansas City, Missouri in 1923. I believe I had a normal life as a child. My main interests as a youngster
were baseball and Boy Scouts. My Scoutmaster and his wife were instrumental in shaping my character as I grew up.
I met Marirose in high school and we forged a lasting love that will never end. Our sixty-six years of marriage
together produced many, many memories that have been the basis for my poems. Remembering and writing about these
memories helped a great deal in easing the pain of losing her to Alzheimer's disease September 15, 2008.
I choose to write mostly about Marirose and our lives together.
Our love grew only stronger as we survived the last days of the Great Depression and then World War II. We raised
a fine family of four boys and two girls. Over the years, we built a total of five houses together, all of which
Marirose turned into beautiful homes. If you would like to visit the NorthCare
